El Puente de Isabel II

Built on Guadalquivir River, this bridge was built where the old bridge of boats , construction began in 1847 and 21 February 1852 was inaugurated with the name Isabel II Bridge and built during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the bridge is the work of two French engineers called Gustavo Steinacher and Bennenot Ferdinand.

was made of stone and wrought iron in Seville in San Antonio Foundation and has ramp contention in the Barrio de Triana. For its creation took as reference the Bridge Carousel Paris, the bridge is divided into three parts and each part relies on a pillar of the bridge, its structure is not very curved line of iron on which we can find several circles wrought iron from largest to smallest size on these circles is already what is the road with railings and lampposts Elizabethan style.

This beautiful bridge not only connects the two banks of the river, it offers one of the most beautiful views of the city of Seville, as the bank may be where we are: Cathedral , La Torre del Oro, the parish of Santa Ana ... also comment on this bridge that stands the beautiful little chapel of Carmen, which I talked about in another post.

As a curiosity that is known as the Puente de Triana , which in 1974 was about to be demolished to build one of follower bill also comment that since 1976 is a National Historic Landmark and was restored in 1977, and finally say, in turn, is one of the key points of the Holy Week of Seville since all of the Barrio de Triana Fraternities move about in the Big Week in Seville.
